Death
Death is relatively nice guy in Blade Mistress. He stops by to say hi regularly, sometimes a little more often than he really NEEDS to, but when he does he never eats the cookies and he doesn't try to make off with your silverware. So you lose nothing but a little time running around, and a few hit points. All in all, nothing to worry about.
